Section 5.6.14 of the City of Medford Code of Ordinances establishes the following regulations for snow removal:

• The owner or lessee of every lot or parcel of land in the City of Medford not included in the downtown business district ….and fronting upon a sidewalk, shall clear any such sidewalk of snow and ice within 24 hours after accumulation of the same, and shall cause said sidewalks to remain free of ice and snow.
• No person shall deposit or cause to be deposited any ice or snow taken or removed from private property onto any sidewalk, boulevard, alley, parkway, public place or street in the City of Medford except the downtown business district which may deposit snow from their sidewalks onto the street.
• Any snow ice that is declared a nuisance shall be removed by the City at the property owners expense.
• Any person that violates any provision of Section 5.6.14 of the City of Medford Code of Ordinances shall upon conviction thereof, forfeit not less than $5.00 nor more than $50.00 for each offense together with the cost of prosecution. Each day a violation continues shall constitute a separate offense.
